G4 installation

Hello,
i have problem in the last step of the installation dvd's (im restarting the computer (g4 laptop) complete with the dvds)
but when it restarts it freeze in the last step of when ask of what using is goignt to be for , i choose "home" and the continue... then the "continue" became uncheck and i leave it there for hours and i try it more the 4 times and nothing happens, please help me out with a solucition.....

Posable corruption os system run utilities from you Install DVD if errors found it may be able to fix also run fix disk permissions

IF you also have the Norton 8 utilities ( must be at least 8) run the disk test if any nodes are found you will probably have to do a transfer fix / reinstall (needs a second mac that you transfer all to then format drive and reinstall transferring back)

second possibility is drive has issues run either of the tools above if norton allow surface scan to be done
If you have any other disk utilities that alow for surface scan use them.
