Sims 3 Trouble

Hello,
My Sims 3 game won't work. Everytime I try to play it it comes up with something like 'Device 0 can't play this software. No Graphics card'. It's really annoying. I have Windows XP. Please help.

was it working before?

do you have at least the minimum requirements to play the game?
