Hello,
How can we retrieve lost/deleted photos. We had our computer stolen and the culprits wiped everything. We had hundreds of photos stored and stupidly did not back them up. A few weeks later the computer was found and returned however all our photos have gone. Is there any software we can use to safely get our precious photos back?

You should NOT download any files or even use a browser to access the web. Any such use will write files to the hard disk and possibly overwrite your data. The hard drive should be removed and installed into another working computer. There are a number of commercial recovery programs and recovery services that you can use. These programs cost over 50 Pounds and might require more computer knowledge than you have. Using a commercial recovery service might cost 200 Pounds or more.

If you want to attempt the recovery you can use one of the tools that are review at this site:

You should look for a program that can recover after the disk was formatted.

Good Luck
