I cannot log into facebook applications

Hello,
I cannot log into facebook applications on my laptop. If I do log into facebook only place I can go is the homepage no where else.......if I try to go anywhere else I get problem loading page or connection was reset. Can u say y this is happening plz. I am using firefox

Configuration: Windows 7
Firefox 3.5.5
