Which laptop battery???

i have a problem with my battery and need to replace it,,,,is all battery compatible with it???

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0

What type of computer? Have you gone to the manufacturer and looked up your information to find out which battery it takes? That is where I would start.
