Audio Drivers enabled but no sound

Hello,
I am having a problem with my sound. I have audio drivers installed and enabled but there is no sound still. this only happened when i installed a windows vista update. when i pay audio the volume control shows it playing.
Has anyone else had this sort of problem? or have any solutions to fix this?
