Problem in installing sound driver

Hello,
This is amit from delhi. I successfully installed all the drivers in my laptop (hp compaq presario c700 ) but i am facing problem to install sound driver. An error message is coming "MEDIA DEVICE COULD NOT FOUND" when i am trying to execute "conexant.exe" file. I am using Window XP SP2 professional edition.
I don't know what is the procedure to install sound driver and which files i have to execute and in which order?
Can anybody help me as soon as possible?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

from where did you get the drivers?

are they for the mentioned model or you just installed

drivers that you got ?

please give more information
