Usb device unknown

Hello,

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium edition.

My PC will not recognise an external USB hard drive nor will it acceppt memory sticks.

I have SP1 installed

The only thing it recognises is my printer which is usb

any idea of what should i do ?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi buddy
could be plug n pray has gone wrong for those devices

Download and run USBDeview from
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html

You get a list of attached (or oast attached) USB devices. Unplug them all then use the tool to delete the lot from the list, then try plugging them in again.

With luck they'll work.
