Unable to format my 40 gb pendrive

Hello,

I have 40 gb pendrive. its show file system RAW and 0 byte in size... when I try to format it .its show a error mesg window unable to format this drive....how can i format my pen drive...

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

Dear Pintu,

Does the message indicate any reason why you are unable to format it?

Normally I believe that it should be arising from write protection.

Remove the write protection and try to format it.
