System turn off automatically

Hello,
when i turn my system it turns off automatically with out any error message after 10 to 15 mins( like poweris switched off).is this b'coz of virus or any other problem ?i did s/m restore n configured through ms config disabled all under start up tab. do i need to reinstall the OS .plz anyone gimme the solution

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.5.3
