Hello, My iPod classic has been a pain ever since I hooked it to my laptop. At first I had it hooked to the iTunes to my desktop computer and it worked PERFECT.. Then I got a laptop and ever since then it won't play all of my songs or it will play part of a song and I've tried downloading a new iTunes and reloading all my music and it doesn't work. Now it won't even connect to iTunes any more it just says "The iPod ".....'s iPod" cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found" and it does this ALLLL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.5.2

Hi there,

Remove iTunes using Add/Remove programs.

Trash these folders:

C:\Program Files\iPod\bin

C:\Program Files\iTunes

Restart the computer.

Reinstall iTunes.

Thanks

I'm having a similar problem with my 120gb classic.

previously i've never had a problem with my ipod and usually only use one computer.
i used a friend's, got some songs and it still worked fine at home.
i went back to that same friend's and the ipod does this on both now...

when i plug my Ipod into a computer itunes freezes for a long time. eventually my ipod is aknowledged, but says there is a sync error 53. this doesn't make sense as i have always managed my ipod manually.

from this point the music list is visable, but i am unable to access or manage it.

i can play music through headphones and charge it, but again cannot access music via itunes.

I have tried to reinstall itunes, but an error will not let me.

suggestions???

Well blah blah blah, thats not a problem for me, however, i might question your ability to get laid by anything other than your left hand if you have nothing better to do than comb the forums to insult random people.
get a life loser.
