S-video cable from laptop to tv

Hello,
Just recently bought a plasma tv so im new to this, but i cant get my s-video working.. im thinking its the laptop settings, but i have a panasonic TC-p42u1 connected to a hp laptop geforce go 6150... no signal at all through my s-video... please help!! =)

I'm assuming you've told the tv to accept the s'video input as the source?
