DVD+R DL is not burning any type of Disk

Hello,
I need help in fixing my DVD+R DL, which is not burning any type of Disk, I actually replaced the drive with another one but is still does not work, my OS is win xp pro sp3. I also tried the fix with DWORD in the registry editor, but it did not help. Thanks in advance.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi iveal,

The burner stopped working some months now, I was using my other pc to burn but started trying to fix this one now. I even replaced it and got the same problem. tried different Nero and Alcohol 120% but none worked. I cannot say it is my OS because I used the same OS on my son's pc and his burner burns good. so I am still hunting for the solution...
