Usb port problem

Hello,
I have an HP pavilion notebook with the series no dv5-1102tu with vista business as my OS.I usually surf internet through BSNL GPRS with nokia N73 through USB device connecting to my laptop.Recently i m facing a problem that sometimes my notebook prompt that "one of the USB device attached to this PC has malfunctioned' and i cannot connect my phone to my PC for surfing.At the same time the modem installed in my PC for my phone also shows not connected status.
Moreover i also cannot connect to internet through bluetooth device from my phone to my laptop.Please help me to sort out this problem.
