Hello,

I had just bought a WD 500gb External Hard Drive. I'm currently running Windows XPSP2. I decided it was time to reformat my computer so I had transferred 71gb worth of files onto the External Hard drive. After it got reformatted and I installed all previous software (not related to the External Hard drive) I had plugged it in and I can't view the files. Is there something I need to install so I can view the files?

HELP APPRECIATED.

HI, there......

I think this is a problem with file association , like if you put a file onto a USB flash drive , then put it into another computer that hasnt seen that type of file before or if it hasnt got the program needed to open it . I think you need to create aassociation with that file type and a program..... or am I way off the mark? What file type is it?

Here are screen shots

Samrat should be the folder name with the files but nothing. As you can see 71gb is being used.
