Hello,
My MOBO
ASRock - G41M-LE/H
Audio - 7.1 CH Windows® Vista™ Premium Level HD Audio (VIA® VT1708S Audio Codec)

I'm running XP Pro (32bit) I have no sound, or devices capable of playing sound.

I can't install the codec that's already on the CD. There is nothing in my Device Manager, and I can't search/add anything related to sound....So Does my MB have integrated sound(It's supposed to)? What do I need to do?

This is my system to a T...http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/core-2-overclock,2310.html

I have only the OS and any CD/Drivers that came with the newly purchased hardware...all freshly built/installed.

Please help!

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.12

Serious replies only please....use the CD and install all?

Did you even read my post?

To clarify things, When I 'install all from my CD' I get the "We can't find HD audio device"

The CD and ASRock website codec aren't working, mainly b/c there isn't any audio device to recognize...

I'm having the exact same problem, drivers won't work and it refuses to find the onboard sound. I went into BIOS and changed it from "auto" to "enabled" but it didn't do anything, anybody have a fix?
