Hello,
I hope someone can help me out. I have an HP Pavillion dv5000 notebook. Since I've had it, about once a year I'll shut it down as usual, and go to start up again later to see that it just won't start up. If I'm lucky, it will get to the Windows startup screen, only to give me the option of going to the options screen. In the past, I've had to erase my hard drive and re-install Windows with my start-up disc. Recently, it happened again. I took in to a computer shop, where they put in a new hard drive for me as I had run a hard drive check that said it wasn't registering my hard drive. Now, weeks later, my laptop overheated and shut itself down. Now it's doing the exact same thing. Is it overheating and burning the hard drives? Or is there something I'm missing? All I want is a reliable laptop!

Hello,

if you are having problems with this laptop!

Just ask for an another one! I think there must be a problem with the motherboard inside!

If you still have warranty just make sure that they replace it to a new one

THANKS
