Hello,
I recently got an emachine(eMachines T6212)for free.
So i decided to install a PCI express video card (http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/...
I am running windows XP Pro
I installed the video drive before I physically installed the card.
And when the card is installed the monitor gets no signal and the CPU fan starts for a few second when i start the computer but then the fan turns off.
I have seached the bios for settting and the motherboard has no jumpers or pins that effect video
Never had a problem installing a video card before ,Any ideas would be great ,
Thanks!
Configuration: Windows XP PRO en8400GS video card emachine T6212
Hm. Looks like your computer is stock with a 300w power supply and your graphics card doesnt even have so much as a fan. I seriously doub the problem is insufficient power. i think iveal was right about the bios setting, although in my experience I never had to disable onboard. look for anything reguarding pci-e slots |
