Hello,

my name is david spellman and i have an Acer laptop and the whole keyboard and mouse locked up when i was trying to install a wireless internet on my computer. Then the mouse and keyboard locked up all of a sudden and I shutdown and restarted my acer laptop a couple times but the mouse and keyboard was still locked. So i need advice on how to unlock the built in mouse on my laptop and the keyboard.

thanks,

Dear David,

I just think you accidentally locked your keyboard and touchpad by pressing the function key!

Just press: FN + F6

this will unlock the keyboard and touchpad!

Thanks

Dear David,

I have now exactly the same problem and cannot solve it at this moment. I have reinstalled XP and the problems are still the same. Did you have any sollution to solve this?

I have another problem right now that the wireless lan adaptor is not recognised

Will you please inform me how you did solve this problem?

Thansk and best regards

Actually, you press Fn and F6 together. I also have a Acer laptop (mini) and my mouse just got stuck today, I tried pressing FN + F6 like someone said above but it didn't work, then I saw a key with a hand icon printed on it (which is F7) so I pressed Fn and F7 together and my mouse unfroze. Hope this helps you (if your problem isn't fixed yet) or anyone else for that matter, who may need help too.

Needed to repost this again, since there is no delete button and I made an error in my last post but I meant:
