Diffrence between NT/2000/XP and LINUX/UNIX

Hello,

There is a price to pay for the enhanced management and service capabilities of NT/2000/XP and Linux/Unix.HInt : memory , processor speed.On what sort of computer system does this price start to become intolerable ?

This depends on the specification you are looking for, and also about the way you want to use the pc!
