Cd/dvd files are missing

Hello,
i have an advent laptop and untill recently i could burn discs with ease, then my power2go writer started acting up, not responding and then one day it kept coming up with the message " there is no burner available or you have no licience to use it ", and my itunes says the cd/dvd files are missing so i am totally unable to burn anything what is wrong

Hi,

try to update the driver and then burn your CDs.

or you may do a system restore to try to ix the problem.

>start

>all programs

>accessories

>system tools

>system restore

Thanks but i can't do a system restore either and i have tried to update it but it says the best one is already installed.
