Can't join WhatsApp group chat

Hello,

I'm having problems joining group chats, beek going on about a week now. Basically when I click on a link to join a group chat it takes me to WhatsApp but gets stuck on "loading" indefinitely without letting me join the chat.

Using WhatsApp on Android, S21.

Any suggestions on how to fix or work around this very irritating issue would be greatly appreciated

If you didn't figure out a fix for this already, make sure your phone's "Power Saving" feature is disabled. Once disabled, attempt to join the chat using the link once again.

For those still looking for a solution, try joining the group through WhatsApp web , Worked for me

At first it didn't work for me, but it worked for everyone else in the comments so I did a restart after and then it worked for me too!

I followed the cue from one of the comments, restart my phone and pronto it worked. Thanks.
