Hi, please use Pidgin instead. Windows programs are not made to run in linux but linux has plenty of alternatives for everything you are likely to need. If you hunt around the menu's in RedHat you will probably find that Pidgin is already there.
You might need to open your package manager to find, download and install pidgin but i really think it's in the menu's somewhere.
