Iood dosent pick up songs

Hello,
im having problems with my ipod. I cant load new songs on it. i know its not my usb cuz when i plugged it in it charges my ipod. whats wrong with it? Also itunes dosent pop up any more.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi,

open iTunes and see if it detects your iPod.

update the version of your iTunes and upate the firmware version of the iPod as well.
