Monitor doesn't work properly

Hello,
sir,

I am a web designer, i have a system at home (assembled one not a brand pc) during the last week my system monitor ( LG CRT) doesn't work. I am using Windows XP. Before this complaint my dvd writer doesnt write & read cd & dvd , My system motherboard is asus, prosessor is amd athlon. Harddisk seagate 80 GB

please forword a correct replay to solve these problems

Hi,

this seems to be a monitor problem, not a problem with your computer itself.

try connect another monitor to the computer and check the result.

if still it does not work, then it may be a graphics card prolem.

Hi,try to connect another monitor if it works, then your LG monitor need REPAIRING. your dvd problem is completely seperate from monitor problem. to solve your dvd problem always use jumper( it is a pin bind every cd or dvd drive) to the correct master or slave part.
