Evrytime i open a new tab my internet freezes

Hello,
help me please my internet freezes evrytime i open a new window or a new tab at my internet and when i upload a video or a picture or anything that needs to be uploaded my computer freeze but it only freeze for a few seconds and it will resume on uploading help me please tell me what to do your advices will be treasured thank you..

try to update the version of the browser you are using.
updating the browser should fix the bug.

Mine is Explorer 8.
The latest one!
There is nothing to upgrade.

Stupid thing.
If I click a link off an email, it freezes.
If I open a new tab, it almost always freezes.

I am having the same problem with IE8 tried reinstalling it a few times but still the same. I didn't expect much better. It's Microsoft.

Try using Firefox, that problem does not exist, they were using tabs way before IE. Your sites will look better as well if they are standard compliant and for me it's faster than IE. (I even tweaked mine to make it fly - a flying fox!)

Sadly I have to use IE for testing purposes as a web Designer/Developer. I wish people would get wise and just use Firefox or have both on their machines so they have a choice.

Hi,

I had the same problem with IE8, FireFox3.5.5, and finally thanks god I found the reason, Disable the add-on:

Name Java(tm) Plug-In 2 SSV Helper
Publisher Sun Microsystems, Inc.
Status Disabled
File date Today 07 November 2009, 5 hours ago
Version 6.0.170.4

I didn't expect at all it is because of java, I tried all every another solution to fix that, and finally it is SUN :)

Khott - You da man. I've been playing around with this for hours today. I thought it had something to do with a recent installation of Kapersky Internet Security, but when I disabled the Java Plug-in 2 SSV Helper, my "Open in new Tab" functionality came back in my IE-7 browser - Thank you!

I never had the problem in my Opera browser. I'm running Java 1.06.11 - not the very latest version. But I wasn't having this problem before, so could be that there is an interaction with something else - like Kapersky IS10, that triggered it.

I had this problem where ie8 was slow to open and then would not open new tabs or windows from a link. I was using ie8 32bit and tried ie8 64bit this worked perfectly until I installed java 64bit. After installing java the new tab thing started with ie8 64bit aswell. I uninstalled java and ie8 worked again. I have now uninstalled java 32bit and now ie8 32bit works perfectly again. I hope this can be of help for more people.

Hi Khott,
Sorry to bug you, but I've had the same problem...or so I think. Whenever I try to open any windows or right to open another window it just takes forever. I tried to tweek the "Java(tm) Plug-In 2 SSV Helper" however I couldn't get to the preference area of Java to disable it. Would you be kind enough to let me know how to do this? I have recently downloaded the 2010 Kaspersky and I wonder if that had anything to do with it because I didn't have that problem before.

I just completely uninstalled java. Go to control panel, then programs find java and click on it, then follow the instructions. This has completely solved the problem for me
