Firewall Builder is not a firewall but a firewall management tools designed for network administrators wishing to control the entire network firewall from a single interface. It is an object-oriented graphical interface allowing to create security policies for many Firewall platforms. Inside Firewall builder, security policy is a combination of rule set. Each set is an abstract object which is a network entity or service: computers, routers, firewall, networks, protocols, etc… Firewall Builder contains a database of preset objects and allows you to create a security strategy by simple drag and drop operations. Since it is multiplatform and using object approach, it is particularly adapted to heterogeneous environment.
