MediaRing Talk allows to establish long-distance calls by means of internet so long as the correspondent PC runs the same program. Its use requires the opening of an account which can contain two telephone numbers. The definition of a password authorizes the validation of each call from this account. Its interface is magnificent. Its complete online help accompanies the user during the call. A configuration wizard controls the necessary parameters so that they are effectively defined. Note that they can be changed at any time.


Advantages:
  • MediaRing Talk can establish automatically the connection to Net as soon as the user initializes a call. It indicates any input call while the user is on-line.
  • The sending of voice messages is possible, even if you are not connected.
  • Telephone book and call history are included in the software. MediaRing Talk contains a textual interface through which it is possible to talk with his/her contact as on any chat classic network.
  • Free of use


Disadvantages:

Not compatible with vista and other OS

No customer support, according to support page, support should get back in 48 hrs, it was over 4 days and so far nothing, seems another scam company. The phone book is also crappy, difficult to work, after the first free call, got 487 error code and could any longer make another call, send request to support over 4 days ago, and so far no reply yet.
