iPulse is a tool that can help you control the status of the IP devices that are connected on a network.
Features:
Ping, TCP connection, and SNMP for allowing the polling and checking of the network's connectivity from the list of notes defined by the user.
The tool will also tell you about the different failures that you can encounter by using the various techniques from audio messages to email notifiocations.
Supports a primary and secondary test.
Polls the list on a cyclical basis with full control over the list cycle timing parameters.
The tool can support standard Ping ICMP Echo Requests/Replies and will automatically use the UDP High Port Ping under Winsock 2 for contacts that have failed .
It allows primary test only.
Advantages: iPulse can support a huge list of target hosts that have been entered as hostnames or IP addresses.
This list can be taken from a text file.
Disadvantages:
Does not support other operating systems other than Windows.
