It is easy to install applications of the same category on your machine. For example, you have Gimp, Photoshop, Photobie and other managers of image processing on your computer. So to open an image file, it will be a big ptoblem because it will never open with the application you want.

Types is a Windows utility that lets you set the combination of an extension to a program or application. It is true that this feature is present by default in Windows, but Type goes even further.

Types allows you to change all at once the extensions of multiple files as well as the icon associated with them. You can also define the action for each type of extension.
