Hello,

I need help to try to see if my mums laptop can be saved! She owns a Compaq Presario and i have seen on numerous forums thats theres been a lot of problems regarding these models! The problem she has is the following:

She was using it one day while it was on a/c power and it suddenly cut off with no warning. Now, it wont go on either through the battery or when the lead is plugged in. when she attempts to turn it on, nothing happens except for an orange light appears (shaped of 3 circles on top of each other??) I dont own this model and she doesnt have the manual anymore so i have no idea what it means. The charger is relatively new (2 months old) and when its plugged in the charger has power going through it and the battery was fully charged when it suddenly cut off. Anyone have any ideas or advice? The laptop is 3 years old now. The other thing she mentioned is that on the keyboard, next to the 4 arrow keys, there is the 2 blank keys or parts of the keyboard and they now look pushed in... would that be playing a factor??
