Scanning from Epson RX585 thru Print Server

Hello,
My Epson RX585 works perfectly well with wireless connection from Netgear Print Server WGPS606 to other computers in the house so why can it not be recognised when I want to use the scanner facility?

When I had only a desktop PC connected directly from the printer, it worked ok. Now, so that others in the house can print from their bedrooms, I have a print server. I have lost the scanning function.

Epson are of no help, they tell me that they cannot guarantee non Epson equipment. Netgear won't help because I bought the server off e-bay!!!!!!

If someone has had this same problem, and have sorted the problem, could they please pass it on.

Many Thanks

N E

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0
