Sandisk 8 GB pen drive

Hello,
My pen drive works in my daughter's lap top but not on my desk top. It gives a message "it cannot be formatted". Can any body help me?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi,
this may be due to a firmware issue.
try to download the firmware from the official website and then try again
or it may be due to a virus.

It does not work. firmware cannot be down loaded due to non availability of WinZip. Can you provide a clue for having a free Zip software that works in XP?
