"Dont worry, this model will not appear in My computer as a removable device,

yo have to use the Windows media player or Itunes to upload music to it same like apple ipod.

Connect your mp3player to computer, open the Windows media player , on the left side you will find task bar of media player( if it is hidden , click on the arrow to unhide it). and select the tab "copy to cd or Device". On the right side top select your device from the drop down list. drag and drop your music files to the play list and click on the copy button on the right top on the window, it will start copying wait for finish and close media player and unplug our mp3 player. thats it."

I'm having a similar problem. I have two sony mp3 players, model NWZS616F. It will transfer the songs, but when I unplug it to use it, they're not there. I'm about ready to pull my hair out, they were both fine last week, now neither one will accept new songs, and thanks to sony tech support, i formatted one so it's empty. GRRRRRR!

Amit's advice for *Vista (this will solve the "Code 10" problem) :

Open 'Control Panel'
--> Open 'System and Maintenance'
Scroll down.
--> Find and Open 'Device Manager'
--> Find "Portable Devices", click '+' sign.
(You will see MTP with yellow '!' sign)
-->Right Click, select "Update Driver Software..."
-->select/click the option "Browse my computer for driver software"
-->select/click the option "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
-->(there should be 2 options here) select/click "USB mass storage driver"
-->click next.
That should do it :)
