Audio problem for Compaq Presario croo

Hello,
I have a Compaq Presario Notebook of model c700 with Microsoft XP Professional installed in it, but I do not hear any sound and there is no qoestion mark next to device list sound, video, game controller under My Computer-Properties-Hardware-Device Manager

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello,

First install the Microsoft UAA package ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33501-34000/sp33867.exe

Then the XP Conexant Audio Device ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36090.exe
