HOW TO INSTALL XP OVER VISTA

Hello,
I have "HP Paviliendv6700 notebook."
I formated hard drive to install xp over vista. Now Hard drive is formated.I try to install xp but it gives message that is not find any hard drive to install window"
I try to make boot cd from NLITE SOFTWARE BUT NOT WORKING.
any one have ideahow to solve it.
or I have to go back to install vista again.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0
