Hello,

I use dual monitors, and have a BenQ FP731 and a Samsung SyncMaster 220wm. The problem I am currently having is with my BenQ. About 2 days ago I was on my computer when the BenQ suddenly blacked out. It flashed back on after adjusting the monitor for a few minutes. Yesterday, however, it blacked out again and nothing I have done has fixed it. It's almost like my monitor is in sleep mode because it is on (the green light is on), and when I turn the power off and then back on the screen flashes on for about 1-3 seconds before blacking out again.

I don't know if it's a software problem....I was thinking maybe it is a backlight problem or something. And I have gone to several forums that have topics with the same problem....but no one had solved it.

I've had my BenQ for a little over 4 years, and have NEVER had any problems.

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 8.0

I'm having the same exact problem.

The monitor is on for almost 2-3 seconds, and then turns black.

Turn off the monitor, turn it on, and the same thing happens again!

This is also a new monitor, so i have NO idea why this happens. !!

I'm thinking that it might be some kind of softwear issue so I'm about to reformat with Vienna instead (now that the RC is finally out. Yay!) and see if the problem persists. Right now I'm down to one moniter though, which is hard after being to used to having two. I'll tell you how that works out for me.

Hello, this a known issue with this model. The transistors inside - c5750/sc5707 are probably dead. You need to replace them and resolder the transformers... 100% does not have anything to do with the OS!

Oh! It is the transistors! Thank you so much, I would have never figured that out without your help.

Do you know if this is a problem with model BenQ FP93GX? I am having similar issues. the monitor will only stay on for a few seconds. If I press the power button enough times, it will eventually come on, but the same thing happens the next time. (my green light goes off when the screen blacks out though).

If this is an issue with this monitor, where would I get the transitors to fix it? Do you know where in the monitor they are located? Thanks in advance for any help you may give.
