hi DEAR FRIENDS
I have tried on many occasions to install the latest version of Adobe Flash player and I still can't do it. It's driving me mad.

It starts doing something for about 20 secs, like it's gonna work and a warning box comes up with "Internet Explorer Security Warning" asking me if I want to install Adobe Flash Player 9 with 2 boxes "Install" and "Don't Install".

I click install (as it says to do this on the Adobe page) and it does something for a few seconds again like it's trying to work and then it's just the same Adobe page again and nothing's happened. I've tried rebooting afterwards but still nothing.

Please can anyone help?
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi,

I can suggest you to use mozilla firefox then to install flash player...and flash player will be automatically integrated to mozilla!

If this is another website to complain, I don't need it. What I need is a website that is going to tell how insall the Adobe Flash player. I have compalined with no help and no even an answer to why the Adobe Flash Player will not install.
I have tried everything step by step from removing the old one restarting and then attempting to install the most updated version. Well to say the least I still have no flash player on my computer and I really don't want to have to purchase a package yearly just to get one. So if you can get this up and running I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Try to remove the pop up blocker, allow pop ups from IE then download it

My friend recommended to me a website to watch programmes on but then a box comes up and says i need the latest version of flash player to play the videos, so I go to update it but everytime i've done so in the past, it keeps saying - flash player was not installed!

Generally, if you are upgrading any Adobe product, you usually have to uninstall the previous editions, or attempts before installing. Had some problems with mine and had to uninstall through the system before I could get a good install with the new Flash player.

I am having the same problem, except that once i open the executable file after the initial download, it says that it is "completed" after about five seconds, but I still don't have it installed. I've tracked it down in the C drive and tried to run it manually, but nothing happens. This is driving me absolutely crazy, because I ran a program to delete my temporary files through a registry cleaner program, and it erased all my shockwave, quicktime, etc plugins. the rest are fine, i just can't seem to install flash again.

it really is making me crazy, and i am currently competely reliant on multimedia on my computer to write my masters thesis. please please please help!
