When ever i do something on my computer like try to upload files online or try to view anything that is attached to Windows such as the Recycle Ben,Start Menu,Programs, & other things.
A error message appears saying that Windows Explorer has encountered a problem.
When i click don't send my task bar and icons on my desktop and everything else disappear and reopens.
If i click send error report my computer freezes. If i click debug the same thing happens as well.
Can someone please help me out with this?

On the Microsoft Windows Error Reporting they said to restart my computer and run the error disk checking tool.
But i don't know how to do that.

Can someone please help me with my problem.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.10
