I require a excel formula to shade cells if the following criteria is met If A1 = X shade cells A2 to A10 grey

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

Select Cells A2 to A10 but firstly select Cell A2 then A10 .... Now Go in Format > Conditional Formatting > Select condition 1 Formula is and write =$A$1="X" in right box now select format > Pattern and select gray shade ......
