I guess you have to get a better power supply than that i mean a power supply which more than 450 watts |
|
Yeah, it's propably a problem with the cables... See if all are well-connected.... I don't really think you should change the power supply because you bought all your stuff together, like a kit.. So, look in the manuals if all these things are at their right place!

I'm answering your question with other questions... ;-)
What's the brand of your PSU? What's the max wattage? And what amps are supplied on each (should it have more than one) 12v rail and 5v rail? What tells you the PSU quit? Did it go 'pop' ? |
hi fairlady,,,,
its good to build up ur own pc but this time i suppose that u need a much powerful power supply to work it fine |
i just did my first build and it looks like i'm having the EXACT same problem as you....
the whole thing turned on just fine. when i rebooted to attempt to start installing vista absolutely nothing happened. well actually the LED's in my fans blink about every second if i hold the power button down. i can also hear the power supply clicking about every second seemingly in an attempt to get things rolling. i bought a new power supply today (albeit it is probably as crappy as my previous one, but it does have 50 more watts) and it's the same story. my MB light is on as well and will turn on and off accordingly as i plug in and unplug the power supply. i've tried disconnecting the fans and all other unnecessary things. still doesn't work. both the PSU's i've tried are @ raidmax's lower level of quality (each is worth about $30). i really really really really really really really don't know what the hell is going on. this is such a mystery...AND NOT THE FUN KIND EITHER! |
