Sony DVD writer is not reading any DVDs

Hello,

i have SONY DVD read & writer. its not reading any DVDs which will burn from LG, SAMSUNG.......
it will read only if the DVD came from SONY WRITER.....

its a hardware prob or software problem

please give any suggestion to avoid this

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Ur dvds writer is still virgin,thats why its not read any dvd.

hey, i am using SONY DVD RW DW -G120A, writer and its not reading some of my data dvds.. Its only reading original dvds(silver disks) only...
i have checked those dvds in other comp, and dvds are working there, i have installed some firmware drivers aswel, like MYS6 n MYL2 drivers but its still not reading those dvds, its showing those dvds as blank dvds.. please, if any one of you knows how to sort it out this problem then plz do reply...
