unable to run regedit plz help me

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

If you can't run regedit or regedt32 from the Run field
you've probably setup a policy. The message you're
getting refernce a policy is set up.
Start>Run>gpedit.msc>User Configuration>Administrative
Templates>System>Prevent access to registry tools -
disable if this is enabled.

Hi Joy,

I must say that you have given the best and the easiest solution. My regedit was disabled, I tried many ways but atlast when I tried your way it really worked.
The message you're
