Need to use SATA drive using SATA pci card

Hello,
I have an old pc, which hard drive crashed. i bought a new pci card with sata and sata hard drive. How do i install windows xp on it?

The interface in the pci slot should be able to detect the SATA HD, in bios it should detect as the SATA adaptor but may ask for a driver disc before XP is able to continue the installation.
