Hi,
there may be a problem in the adapter or with the card itself.
try it in another device and see the result.
if it does not detect, then the micor SD card is faulty.

I have the same problem... The files on my phone, and photos I have taken with the phone do not show up on my PC when I plug the Micro SD in using the provided adapter. I tested the reader and it is fine, the files are there they just aren't visible. Further to that, I put the Micro SD (Inside the Adapter) into my Minolta Digital Camera, took a picture and then put the whole thing back into my PC and was able to see the single picture that I had just taken, but nothing else? Once I removed the Micro SD from the adpater and put it back into my phone I could see all my phone files, but the one single picture that I took with my camera, that was visible to the PC, was not visible on the phone. Is the phone using some sort of proprietary formatting ?

Got a quick possible solution that worked for me. Had Kingston 2GB micro SD card and had same problem. XP system wouldn't recognize or allow reformat. I slapped the micro SD card in a SD adapter and put into Canon camera where it read card error but when I went into menu for Camera to start format & it did . Popped micro SD into computer and it allowed format to 32 FAT. See if it works.

If you have problems with your memory card in 80% of all cases the controller of your card is damaged and no software or card reader can help. You must separate the memory chip and dump the raw data to recover your data, look here http://card-recovery.biz/us/service.php

Micro SD and Micro SD HC are 2 different standards. HC is newer and is for larger capacity cards, from 4GB to 32GB. Computers that are more than a few years old will not recognize the new HC standard, including mine. Even though my new phone can use a 4GB card, my PC cannot recognize it. The only fix is getting a BIOS/firmware update for your computer...but mine does not offer it. :(

Same problem with a 6 year old Compaq computer. Where (how) do you get a bios firmware update?

Thanks
