XP is not very tolerant of RAM faults. If your RAM was bad, you *probably* would have run into problems when you did the reinstall. If you're sure it's not an overheating issue (how do you know?), it could be a driver conflict. But just to rule out RAM as a possibility, download & run memtest86. Let it run at least one complete test series (approx 30 min +/-)...if any errors are found, replace the RAM or at least remove the bad stick. Post the make/model/wattage & amperage specs of your new PSU. Actually, post your complete system specs. |
