Hello,
Help! I tried the "remedy" , (turn off, remove ac & battery, hold power button 30-60 secs and the plug ac back in and turn on, turn off again replace battery and power on) and it worked until I put the battery back in. Then it went black again. I tried redoing the steps and it won't work now... Any other ideas? I am so challenged..computer wise. I was so happy when it appeared to work then back in the dark again... Can you tell me what the problem might be?

Please help!!!

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

I have also the same problem with my dv2000, and to find out that it happens also to dv6000 and dv 9000 of hp, I guess HP is producing fault laptops, and its a brand to stay away from when choosing a laptop
