Hi the Battery on the Inspiron 5150 can not be changed as it is soldered on to the Main Board, if yo take the C cover of it is located towards the font edge and iyou can just see a bit of it, but as I said you can not removed it without stripping down the plastic Caseing if you try you may well damage the M/B |
HI...I have seen this product...it is too good...similarly I have seen same in another site plz go through tihis url http://www.shopnotebookbattery.com/... |
Dell inspiron 5150 uses a rechargeable ML1220 with two horizontal oriented tabs or legs. The legs are laser welded to the battery and are in the same axis for surface mount integration or on the same axis. You can also use Panasonic VL1220 that have the same voltage and ampere ratings, as well as the charge/discharge rate characteristics. You may also replace the surface mounted ML1220 made by Sanyo (soon to be Panasonic or already a done deal) with another type of rechargeable cell that has more longevity and or cost effective using a relocation and harness wires leads soldered to the two solder tab entry to the typology circuit. EI ML1620, ML2020, ML2025 etc, there is sufficient space in that 5150 that can accomidate such alternative. You can inquire with us on ebay. |
The CMOS battery is a rechargeable battery installed in the laptop when out the factory, CMOS power the BIOS to store you computer base information. Put the CMOS battery out and discharge it by short cut for several minitues, reinstall into you pc, you can reset the BIOS configuretion. I did this 1 year ago, When I turn on my laptop with dell 6400 battery( a replacement battery from http://8eshop.com/laptop-battery/dell-inspiron-6400-battery.htm) in, the Lithium-ion battery charge the CMOS battery, all back to normal and my password cleared. |
The same thing happened to me when I restarted my computer with the ipod still plugged in. I learned later that it was beacuse the boot order had the computer looking and the ipod as another hard drive and was trying to find an operating system one, of course there was no response from the ipod. My suggestion would be to check the boot order and make sure it is not looking at either another storage device (including partitions) or at the cd-rom (or DVD-rom) drive for a boot disk. In fact just to be sure take any disks out of the machine. If no response after that your hard drive might just be toast and time to get a new one. Newegg.com usually has some great deals on hard ware. |
I see months have past since you asked your question, and as it turns out I was looking for the same resolution and I took the advice of someone who said removing the battery off the motherboard for a few seconds should do it, but others said it was welded into the board. so I opened my son's Dell Inspiron 1501 form the keyboard area, just under the bezel area where the power button is I carefully took that out which exposed two small screws & lifted off the key board and accidentally pulled two power strips off their connections so be careful. I was able to connect them before I closed up. But the Battery is one of those ni-cad rechargeable ones and you'll need a very small regular screw driver so go to Wal-Mart first and get a Stanley pricision set of screw drivers in the yellow plastic case and use the smallest one to pry out the battery from it's holder for a few seconds put it back in and it worked. From there you can go into Bios and reset all passwords if you need to get into the windows OS. |
Laptop power supply seems a simple matter - the laptop runs on either a battery or an electrical power source. It is not quite like other electronics around your home, though, <http://www.laptop-acadapter.com/...">"dell pa-12 ac adapter"</a> in that most laptops need DC or 'direct current' electricity. By contrast, electrical outlets in your home or office supply AC or 'alternating current'. The 'power brick' that is a component of your laptop power supply cord is actually a DC adaptor, converting alternating current into the direct current your laptop needs.
