Hello,
I've P4 Desktop having RAM 128 DDR SDRAM ASUS P4BGLMX motherboard which i bought in 2003.Due to dead status i changed to 512 DRAM this month. There is one extra RAM slot on my motherboard. Now I want to upgrade to 2GB but vendors are telling that No NO you can't upgrade to 2 GB.
This motherboard can support upto 512 RAM which you have.
But i want 2GB coz one sofware needs it.

What can i do ? Is there any solution ?IF NO then...

Either i've to change the whole motherboard.
Or buy new laptop by reselling my old system
or buy second hand laptop..

Any way i want 2GB RAM.Please gimme some suggestion ?

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0

Ok you must also consider the power of your CPU before adding more RAM....it will be a wate of money if you add more RAM with a slow CPU....so better upgrade to 1GB if possible.

Your motherboard will support up to 2GB of RAM, but why bother running such a slow computer? A P4 with 266MHz RAM is just plain slow.
