Internet connection: Ps3 and laptop

For some reason I am not able to connect to the internet with my laptop if my PS3 is connected. I use a MacBook and if i am on the internet with it and i turn my PS3 on, it knocks me off the internet. It is wireless by the way. Also, lately if i try to sign on to the internet on my PS3 it tells me there is a DNS error.

Configuration: Mac OS X
Firefox 3.0.9
